All About Dinosaurs All About Dinosaurs

I got this for my two grandsons ages 6 and 8. They both enjoyed watching the whole video and then went outside to look for fossils, using exactly the method the video showed. It is educational and well done. If you want a children's' video about the history of dinosaurs it is great, if you just want to entertain a 2 year old with visions of dinosaurs this is probably not the correct video.

I didn't like this video at all and neither did my son who LOVES dinosaurs. First, it's mainly about fossils and only has about 6 minutes of dinosaurs in the 20 minute video. The DVD states that it's 55 minutes long but the dinosaur section is 20 and then the rest is about horses. If it's titled "All about Dinosaurs" then why is more than 1/2 of it about horses. I'm very disappointed!

I purchased this DVD, for my two sons, ages 6 and 9. Both seem to enjoy watching it. I do think it is better suited for the younger child, but both found it educational without being too serious. We viewed the DVD together and found the new format featuring Backpack Jack and his friends very appealing. Hope there are more to come.

It was too bad was rated so high. I bought this and the polka dot packs for my daughters in 2nd and K. I should have noticed there were no side mesh pockets, which I consider a must for packets of tissue, chapstick, hand sanitizer or other small and daily needed items. There was also no 'support' or semi rigid surface on the section which sits against the child's back -- so my K daughter who only transports a paper folder to/from school ends up with bent folders! After purchasing packs at WalMart which barely made it through the school year - I was looking for pack which would last more than 1 year. I don't know yet if they will last longer than the $11-$14 kind at discount stores. We'll see -- I don't plan to purchase again since they're smaller than a typical school backpack. I'll go with Land's end or LL Bean next time.

This is a cute backpack, and my 3rd grade daughter loves it. But I wish it were just a little bit bigger for her books, lunch, and gym shoes to fit into. And it would have been better to have some kind of drink holder on the side. But this is a cute backpack; just don't expect any extras in it.

I bought Wildkin backpacks for my twin daughters for school this year. They chose the bug one (green) and the horse one (pink). I also got the matching lunch bags. They are all very cute and well made. The fabric is nice and durable. All but the horse backpack have the big teeth durable plastic zippers (not sure why the one backpack has a different one). Zippers are the first thing to go on backpacks, but these seem really durable. The outside pocket of the backpack has a few smaller pockets inside, including one with a zipper. The lunch bags are great -- VERY roomy. I like to use Rubbermaid reusable juice boxes and sandwich holders, and they both fit in there just fine with extra room for fruit or chips. The juice box holder is an elastic strap with Velcro, so it will hold any container securely in place. Plus, there is a mesh Velcro pouch on the inside of the lid for a small ice pack. They also have an adjustable shoulder strap. No one has the same backpack as they do at school, and they get compliments on them ALL THE TIME. Kids like them because they are cute and adults like them because they last.

My little girl is 5 going into kindergarten, she loves horses so when she saw this it was a "must have." I was a bit leary not knowing the exact size and the feel of it, but I do have to say that we got it today and she LOVES it. It is the perfect size, book bag requirements were no wheels and should be able to fit a 2 pocket folder, which it does with no problem with room left.......it is a must have for any horse loving little girl. 5 stars*****

I searched various google sites and found this item to be comparable. It arrived in good time, too.

Plush Pull-a-long Harriet Horse Backpack Plush Pull-a-long Harriet Horse Backpack

At first I was disappointed by how small it actually was. I was thinking about returning it, but I let my toddler daughter have anyway. Every time we go out she has to bring this thing along holding it by the handle and cracking up when she rolls over things that make funny noises. I also found it is excellent to put some diapers, wipes and a sippie cup in. I no longer carry a diaper bag around. She carries it herself! It is a load off my shoulders. We get many smiles while she is rolling her backpack along and many people tell me how adorable it is to see her rolling her backpack along. I love it!

My 3 year old LOVES his horsey backpack. We use it for preschool, carrying toys & his "little suitcase". Horsey gets tons of compliments! Great item!
